Chinese New Year Celebrations

The weekend after the Chinese New Year, there was a big celebration of it in central London. There was music...

Monkeys everywhere!

Signs of prosperity for the new year.

And of course, lovely lantern-art!

The curly dragon was definitely one of my favorites.

There were performances of all sorts of things - dance, music, acrobatics...

Even a puppet!

These guys were amazing.

I stopped by for delicious custard-filled fishies.

Admired the lovely lanterns (though they seem to be a semi-permanent fixture).

And saw bits of the parade that had taken place earlier that morning.

Dragons...

Of all sorts.

Even a whole building on a float!

It made for a lovely wander around town to be sure, and a most fun way to welcome a new year!
