We worked this morning and the afternoon was a rather lazy one involving books and watching these guys zip about in the wind.
Tuesday was much the same, another day of work, filling up tables with pottery to be read.
There's -lots- of pottery for any excavation, but it's one of the most important things because you can date levels of an excavation by the pottery associated with it. Our dates are oretty broad time periods, but pottery can change so rapidly that having certain types can narrow the date down to a scant handful of decades.
The days are back to being lovely, so the rest of today was spent out enjoying one. Hope all is well at home!
