Friday!

So today was work as usual, with a bit of experimental archaeology thrown in. We're doing. Couple preliminary tests to see what we can learn about the local plasters here. Other than that we got lots done!

I also was part of an interesting lunchtime discussion which started in the realm of vacuuming your fake grass front lawn in Arizona and moved on to the North American custom of having nice pretty lawns. The INSTAP librarian, Stavroula, is Greek and thought it very strange. To be fair, this is a typical front yard in Greece (and the one to the place I stay in):

They don't go for the manicured grass but instead have potted flowers or the like. It was an interesting reminder of how even the little things can be different!

And we even have tomorrow off, which is awesome as we usually work Saturdays. Brett and I have decided to go to Aios Nicholas tomorrow I think. It's a bigger town about can your from here and has entertaining night life. Not much else is going on, hope all is well!
